In 2019, I will embark on a year long round-the-world trip. #DriveTheWorld will be the third instalment of my travel based video series which has included the hugely popular #VlogAngeles and #Vlogari.
The idea for the trip first came to me during Monterey Car Week in 2017 when a good friend and I were discussing how cool it would be to spend a year driving around the world, discovering different car cultures, meeting interesting owners and making incredible videos.
The year long trip will see me produce a multitude of content from YouTube videos to podcasts, photography, blog posts, live broadcasts and a short documentary series.
Since setting up Seen Through Glass in 2014, I’ve had the incredible chance to travel all over the world, making videos. One thing that continues to surprise me is that no matter how far I travel, I always seem to find people that are passionate about cars.
In 2019, my aim is to meet as many of these people as possible, share their stories, celebrate their automotive culture and try to encourage others to get out there and #DriveTheWorld.

It took me more than a few months to decide which car I wanted to use for the majority of #DriveTheWorld. It needed to be fast, reliable, spacious and economic but most of all, I needed to like it! My recent infatuation for all things Porsche meant I kept leaning towards the brand and after looking into the story of the 991 Carrera T, it felt like the perfect car.
The car is financed through Magnitude Finance and has been customised by the team at Yiannimize. The colour is a vinyl wrap supplied by Hexis called Military Matte Green. I will ship the car from the UK to Australia, North America, Canada and the Middle East. I’ll also drive the majority of mainland Europe in it.
Whilst the car is in transit between continents, I will fly in and out of other countries along the route, accessing cars locally to film and drive.
It’s actually a lot harder than I thought to get ‘around the world’ in just 12 months. I want to make sure that I spend enough time in each place to truly explore the cars, culture and coffee! Unfortunately I won’t be able to visit all the places I want to but that just gives me an excuse to keep exploring in the future.
Below is a list of countries currently included in the route:
Abu Dhabi | Australia | Austria | Belgium | Bulgaria | Canada | China | Croatia | Czech Republic | Denmark | Dubai | Finland | France | Germany | Greece | Hong Kong | Hungary | India | Italy | Japan | Malaysia | Monaco | Netherlands | New Zealand | Norway | Portugal | Singapore | South Africa | Spain | Sweden | Switzerland | United Kingdom | USA.
